Evans wasn't initially expected to play Thursday, but he's clearly made progress since missing Wednesday's game in Boston. The 25-year-old is expected to play in a first-line role with Mike Hoffman and Nick Suzuki, Arpon Basu of The Athletic reports. Evans has six points in 27 contests this season.
