Sanford was placed on waivers Sunday for the purpose of assignment to AHL Tucson.
Sanford earned 12 goals and 28 points in 45 games for AHL Milwaukee last season. He also chipped in two goals, one assist, 20 shots on net, 21 blocked shots and 21 hits in 16 NHL outings with Nashville during the 2022-23 campaign.
