Sutter was recalled by the Hurricanes on Thursday.
Sutter, who is expected to be in Carolina's lineup for Thursday's game against Columbus, is still looking for his first regular season NHL point. The 6-foot-5, 203-pound forward has seven games with the big club under his belt to date, including three this season.
