Toninato was reassigned to AHL Manitoba on Saturday, per CapFriendly.
Toninato was waived Dec. 14, but he stuck around as a depth forward for a while. He hasn't played in an NHL game this season, so he should be able to get some playing time if he remains in the AHL after the holiday break.
