Gilmour penned a one-year contract with KHL side CSKA Moscow on Monday.
Gilmour played in four games for the Sabres this past year in which he generated five shots, three hits and three blocks while averaging 17:03 of ice time. The 27-year-old blueliner has logged 37 contests for the Rangers and Sabres but may not be able to secure any additional action in the NHL.
