Sheahan notched an assist and blocked two shots in Thursday's 2-0 win over the Blackhawks.
Sheahan has been limited to just three helpers in 16 games since the start of March. The 30-year-old saw second-line usage Thursday, but that increase in role doesn't figure to make the defensive center all that much more prominent on offense. For the season, he's at 13 points in 58 contests, matching his output from 53 outings with the Sabres last season. He's added 57 shots on net and a plus-7 rating in 2021-22.
