Dineen was put on waivers by Edmonton on Saturday, Chris Johnston of TSN reports.
Dineen will probably start the campaign with AHL Bakersfield if he goes unclaimed on waivers. He had six goals and 47 points in 69 AHL appearances between Tucson and Bakersfield last season.
