McKegg was placed on waivers by the Oilers on Saturday.
McKegg spent the 2022-23 campaign in the minors, where he scored seven times and added 13 assists in 66 games with AHL Bakersfield. Should he pass through waivers, McKegg will be reassigned to Bakersfield once again.
