Koekkoek cleared waivers and was reassigned to AHL Bakersfield on Wednesday.
Koekkoek recorded an assist and logged 10:15 of ice time in a 3-2 victory over Vancouver on Jan. 25 and he has not played in an NHL contest since. The 27-year-old will rejoin the AHL for the first time since the 2018-19 season.
