Carey has signed a contract with Djurgardens of the SHL, Patrick Williams of NHL.com reports.
Carey spent the entirety of the 2020-21 campaign with AHL Providence, picking up 14 points through 22 contests. The 32-year-old forward will likely spend the rest of his playing days overseas.
