The Red Wings reassigned Fulcher to the taxi squad from AHL Grand Rapids on Wednesday.
Fulcher could join the Red Wings if Alex Nedeljkovic or Thomas Greiss become unavailable for any reason. The 23-year-old's only NHL game to date came three seasons ago.
