Johnson (illness) won't return for Thursday's game against Nashville, according to Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News.
Johnson has three goals, 24 PIM, 93 hits and 68 blocks in 50 appearances with Buffalo this season. This will be his fifth consecutive contest on the shelf. Johnson might serve on the third pairing once he's healthy.
