Bartkowski was released from his professional tryout with the Senators on Wednesday, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
With 2015 first-round pick Thomas Chabot taking the next step, Bartkowski was the odd man out. The 28-year-old didn't establish himself during training camp or the preseason, recording just one assist and struggling to fit in on the ice.
