Some PGA Tour players will be tuning up for the postseason, while others will be desperately trying to get in the FedEx Cup Playoffs when the 2021 Wyndham Championship tees off Thursday. Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama and frequent major runner-up Louis Oosthuizen highlight the 2021 Wyndham Championship field for the PGA Tour's final regular-season event at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. Former Wyndham champions Webb Simpson (2011) and Patrick Reed (2013) also are in the field, and Rickie Fowler will be scrambling to get into playoff position. Caesars Sportsbook lists Simpson as the 12-1 favorite in its latest 2021 Wyndham Championship odds, followed by Matsuyama (14-1), Oosthuizen (18-1) and Reed (22-1).

Can Simpson buck his recent play and find success at the 2021 Wyndham Championship? Or will a player like Fowler (45-1) be motivated enough to make a surprise run and help you cash in with your Wyndham Championship Fantasy golf picks? Before setting any Fantasy golf lineups, or betting the 2021 Wyndham Championship, be sure to see the Fantasy golf rankings from PGA expert Riley Gates.

Gates is a writer for 247Sports, and he knows what it takes to win, on the course and in Fantasy sports. Last week, six of his picks landed in the top 10, including winner Abraham Ancer and Matsuyama, who lipped out a 26-foot putt that would have won it on the first playoff hole.

Now, Gates has revealed his top 20 players for the Wyndham Championship 2021. Be sure to head over to SportsLine so you can cash in big with your Fantasy golf picks

2021 Wyndham Championship Fantasy golf picks

Gates is looking for Oosthuizen to bounce back from an uncharacteristic final round last week and contend for his first victory on American soil. The 38-year-old has been on fire for more than a year, finishing in the top three in four of the last six majors. He shot 74 on Sunday to fall out of contention at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, and his tie for 17th broke a string of three straight top-three finishes. He is 36-under par over his last four tournaments and is second on tour in scoring average (69.528). His putting has been impeccable, as he leads in both strokes gained and total putting.

On the other hand, Gates doesn't believe Simpson's history here makes up for his struggles and is slightly fading him this week. The 36-year-old dropped from fourth in the world to 16th over the past year and has finished in the top 10 just four times in 18 events this season. His victory at the Wyndham was the first of his career, and he does have four straight top-three finishes at Sedgefield, but his game has been erratic. His recent consecutive top-20 finishes were preceded by two missed cuts, and his lack of distance appears to be catching up with him.

How to set your 2021 Wyndham Championship Fantasy golf lineups

For this week in Greensboro, the fantasy expert has found a sneaky pick who comes in higher than 50-1 and is brimming with confidence. This veteran is one of the longest hitters on tour and has been knocking on the door for a victory, and he could snatch it this week in a watered-down field. Be sure to see who it is and check out the picks before you enter any Fantasy golf picks.
