Rickie Fowler is one of golf's biggest attractions. He is engaging, fun, great with kids, and...only a one-time winner on the PGA Tour.
He's determined to change that though and to show how serious he is about it he hired Butch Harmon to help him with his swing.
Golf Digest reports that Harmon asked Phil Mickelson for permission to work with Fowler and Mickelson was all in on it.
"Phil said, 'It's awesome,''' Harmon said. "We need Rickie Fowler to play good."
Harmon also said that Fowler is determined to grow out of his current stereotype -- that he's just a guy who's a marketer's dream and not a guy who's going to be a force on tour.
"I love the kid," Harmon said. "The thing I like is he's been saying 'I want to be known more for my golf than my clothes and my hat. I want to contend in majors."
