Teixeira traded in the pinstripes for some far-too-tight leather for one night this week. (MLB.com)

Mark Teixeira just wants to rock. He reminds the Yankees faithful of that a few times every home game by coming to the plate to Twisted Sister's "I Wanna Rock," something he's done since signing with the team in 2009. It's a simple request, really.

Wanting to rock isn't enough, though. Teixeira had to rock. So he joined the cast of the Broadway musical "Rock of Ages" for a special one-night-only cameo Tuesday, and although he was not allowed to "risk the reputation of the show" by singing solo, he did let loose on some group efforts, including his walk-up song. Dan Wohl of MLB.com has the scoop and several more photos, but unfortunately no video.
