Rangers starter Derek Holland returned from the DL on Aug. 19 and brought with him a haircut that Major League (the movie) fans immediately recognized and loved. Take a look!

That, obviously, is the 'do immortalized by Charlie Sheen's Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn character from Major League. Remember?

Ah, the California Penal League.
Anyway, Holland had everything working Sunday in his third start back from the DL. He struck out 11 while walking none in a three-hit shutout against Baltimore. Some of the moving pictures:
Since his return, Holland is now 2-0 with a 2.53 ERA in three starts. The hunch is that's good enough to keep the hair as it is. It was his first shutout since Sept. 23, 2013.
Meanwhile, the Rangers have a 1 1/2 game lead for the second wild card, despite Holland missing most of the season and Yu Darvish missing all of it.
