Bryce Harper is a pretty big deal these days, which tends to happen when you just had one of the best seasons by a 19-year-old in baseball history and won the Rookie of the Year Award. Pretty big deals also get sponsorships and wind up in commercials, like Harper did in Under Armour's latest.

The spot is pretty tame overall, with some standard workout clips and dramatic shots on a diamond, but then this whole thing happens at the 0:25 mark ...

... and I'm not quite sure what that is. Are neon weights a new thing? Wouldn't those be distracting to other players in the weight room? That could be dangerous, especially if it is a new fad. There's a lot of weird stuff going on these days.

Anyway, all of that neon iron-pumping has Harper poised for a monster sophomore campaign with arguably the best team in baseball. In all seriousness, he's a very special player and figures to appear in many more commercials before it's all said and done. Hopefully they're just as GIF-able.
