In just three seasons, Anthony Davis has already established himself as one of the best power forwards in the NBA. Davis was selected to the All-NBA First Team last season, is a two-time All-Star and has recieved high praise from teammate Kendrick Perkins and head coach Alvin Gentry. At 22 years old, Davis is just scratching the surface of the player he could be but that hasn't stopped Shaquille O'Neal from already telling his 15-year-old son Shareef to pattern his game after the Pelicans forward.

From the New Orleans Times-Picayune's John Reid:

Instead of pushing him to pattern his game after him, O'Neal said he's told his son to learn the game by watching power forward Anthony Davis, the New Orleans Pelicans' transcedent star who finished fifth in the league's MVP voting last season.

''I told him to watch Anthony because he's probably going to be the same height and have the same type of build,'' said O'Neal, who returned to Baton Rouge to host his annual annual LSU Life Skills Golf Classic at Carter Plantation on Friday in Springfield. ''Not skinny, but long.

''He's (Davis) probably the best at that position. He can run, rebound, dominate take over games. He's going to do his thing this year.''

O'Neal's son does have a similar build to Davis and after watching Shareef play, it is clear to see why his father would advise him to closely watch the Pelcians forward.

Shaq may also be right about Davis being the best power foward in the NBA. Blake Griffin is probably part of the conversation but it is hard to not select Davis, especially since he has improved each season and has yet to reach his full potential.
