Golden State Warriors forward David Lee was cleared to play Thursday night against the Denver Nuggets despite suffering a torn right hip flexor in the first game of the best-of-7 series.

Lee checked into the game at the 2:23 mark of the first quarter and played for a minute.

A source told CBSSports.com prior to the game that Lee, who led the NBA in double-doubles this season, was cleared and could play limited minutes Thursday night in Game 6 despite the injury.

The Warriors held on to beat the Nuggets 92-88 to advance to the second round, where they will face the Spurs.
