Through 3 Quarters

The Golden State Warriors were expected to win this one, and they are just one quarter away from fulfilling that expectation. After three quarters it's looking more and more like their high-powered offense is just too much for the Los Angeles Clippers as the Warriors lead 88-61.

Golden State has been led by shooting guard Jordan Poole, who so far has 20 points. One thing to keep an eye out for is Stephen Curry's foul situation as he currently sits at four.

Los Angeles has been relying on the performance of power forward Nicolas Batum, who has 17 points along with six rebounds.

If the matchup were over at this point, it would be the Clippers' worst margin of defeat yet this year.

What to Know

The Golden State Warriors will be returning home after a four-game road trip. The Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers will face off in a Pacific Division battle at 10 p.m. ET on Tuesday at Chase Center. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W.'

The Dubs came up short against the Denver Nuggets on Monday, falling 131-124. Golden State's defeat came about despite a quality game from shooting guard Jordan Poole, who shot 8-for-12 from downtown and finished with 32 points and seven assists.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles has to be aching after a bruising 116-93 loss to the New York Knicks on Sunday. The Clippers were in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 59-40. One thing holding Los Angeles back was the mediocre play of point guard Reggie Jackson, who did not have his best game: he played for 27 minutes with 4-for-18 shooting.

The Dubs are expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Indiana Pacers Jan. 20 easily too and instead slipped up with a 121-117. In other words, don't count Los Angeles out just yet.
