The Los Angeles Rams have made a move for arguably the top wide receiver on the market.

According to a report from NFL Media on Wednesday, Robinson will sign a three-year, $46.5 million deal with Los Angeles. The contract contains $30.7 million fully guaranteed. The Rams announced the move shortly after.

Robinson spent the last four years with the Chicago Bears. He is coming off the worst season of his NFL career, having caught just 38 passes for 410 yards and a touchdown across the 12 games he played a year ago. That downturn coincided with the implosion of the Bears offense under former coach Matt Nagy, with veteran Andy Dalton struggling to get Robinson the ball and then rookie Justin Fields forming more immediate chemistry with Darnell Mooney

Prior to last season, Robinson registered back-to-back 1,100-plus yard campaigns, and totaled 255 catches for 3,151 yards and 17 scores in his first three seasons with the Bears. He spent the first several seasons of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, emerging as one of the NFL's best young wideouts before tearing his ACL in the first game of his fourth year in the league. He signed a three-year, $42 million deal with Chicago, then played that out and spent last season playing on the franchise tag.

He now joins a Rams offense that was already one of the best in the NFL. And according to The Athletic's Jourdan Rodrigue, just because Los Angeles is signing Robinson doesn't mean the team doesn't want to sign Odell Beckham Jr., who tore his ACL in the Super Bowl. Regardless, Robinson will slot in as the second or third weapon in the passing game behind Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods. In Matthew Stafford, Robinson will be joining by far the best quarterback he's had in his career.
