Brett Favre's summer, which included a stop at Jon Gruden's quarterback camp, will reach its peak early next month. Favre, the long-time quarterback of the Packers and, briefly, the Vikings and Jets, will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Aug. 6.

A week ago, Favre noted that his presenter would've been his father, Irvin Favre, who passed away in December 2003, the day before Favre threw for 399 yards and four touchdowns against the Raiders.

"My dad would have been, he definitely would have been doing it," Favre said, per ESPN. "And I'll talk about that during the induction. But you're right. Had he been around, he would be doing it."

On Tuesday, Favre's presenter was finally revealed. It'll be his wife, Deanna Favre.

According to the Pro Football Hall of Fame's press release, this will be just the second time a player's wife will act as the presenter. In 1998, Kim Singletary presented Mike Singletary.

In Favre's career, which ended in 2010, he threw for 71,838 yards and 508 touchdowns, both of which rank second all-time. Perhaps most impressively, he owns the record for the most consecutive starts (297), a streak that began in 1992. So, his Hall of Fame induction was never in question, even if it was delayed due to his longevity.

Here's the entire list of presenters:

  • Edward J. Debartolo Jr. - Lisa DeBartolo, his daughter
  • Tony Dungy- Donnie Shell, his teammate
  • Brett Favre - Deanna Favre, his wife
  • Kevin Greene - Dom Capers, his coach with the Steelers and Panthers
  • Marvin Harrison - Jim Irsay, Colts owner
  • Orlando Pace - Justin Pace, his son
  • Ken Stabler - John Madden, Hall of Fame coach
  • Dick Stanfel - Marv Levy, Hall of Fame coach

As the San Francisco Chronicle's Vic Tafur reported, Madden won't actually be on stage.

The class will be enshrined on Aug. 6. The following day, the Packers and Colts will kickoff the preseason in the Hall of Fame game.
