On Sunday, Dak Prescott tried to toss his paper cup into a garbage can and missed. So, he got up to retrieve his cup and properly dispose of it. A camera caught the entire event. The internet exploded. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones even said that he was proud of his quarterback.

Did this reveal the true nature of Prescott's character: An anti-littering, picks-up-his-own-trash environmentalist who also happens to be the best rookie quarterback in the entire league? Or, as our Will Brinson wrote, was this just a small and subtle action to take into consideration?

Let's ask Prescott. At his press conference Tuesday, Prescott downplayed the significance of the video.

"More people need to pick up their trash if it was that big of a deal," Prescott said, per The Dallas Morning News. "I just simply missed the garbage can and didn't think much of it. I got up and put my trash where it belongs."

But there's a more important question to ask: If he's such a good quarterback, how did he miss the garbage in the first place?

"I mean, I don't shoot behind my back too much," Prescott said. "I think the garbage can was kind of behind me. It was a little flip back. It still had some ice in it, so it threw off the rotation."

So that settles it: Prescott is an anti-littering, picks-up-his-own-trash environmentalist who also happens to be the best rookie quarterback in the entire league AND a blatant excuse maker.

That was sarcasm, by the way. He's clearly the second-best rookie quarterback in the entire league behind Jared Goff.
