When former Falcons linebacker Jessie Tuggle walked to the podium at Atlanta's practice facility to help announce the team's fifth-round pick in the NFL Draft on Saturday, Tuggle had no idea who the Falcons planned on taking.

So it's probably an understatement to say that Tuggle was shocked that Atlanta ended up drafting his son, Grady Jarrett.

You can see Tuggle's reaction below, he even did a few fist pumps to celebrate the pick.

Getting picked by the Falcons was only one part of a crazy weekend for Jarrett.

The fifth-round pick was projected to go in the second or third round, so when Day 2 of the draft ended on Friday, Jarrett was obviously disappointed that he hadn't heard his name called yet.

The former Clemson defensive tackle didn't have much time to be disappointed though because he had other things to worry about on Friday night. Sometime during the second round of the draft, Jarrett's house caught on fire while he was there watching the draft with his family and friends.

The good news is that everyone made it out of the house safely.

Tuggle, who's no longer with Jarrett's mom Elisha, wasn't at the house. However, he was at the Falcons' facility on Saturday, where he announced the fifth round pick.

According to Elisha, Tuggle was caught completely off-guard by the pick.

"He was totally surprised, like everyone else," Elisha told MMQB.com. "He had no idea it was going to be his son's name. He was ecstatic. We all were."

Tuggle spent his entire 14-year career with the Falcons and is in the team's Ring of Honor.
