It didn't take the Jets long to decide they were taking Leonard Williams at No. 6 in the 2015 NFL Draft. Even with an abundance of talent on the defensive line, he was too talented to pass up. After Friday night's game against the Falcons, it looks like a pretty smart move.

Williams fell to the Jets largely because a) various needs of other teams and b) the Redskins' love of Brandon Scherff. It might look crazy as early as 2015 if Williams can translate his preseason production into the regular season.

He recorded the first sack of his career on a safety, tackling T.J. Yates in the end zone, after blowing by

Regardless of talent level you can tell Williams has the makeup to be an impact player from different points on the defensive line.

He was credited with 1.5 sacks, recorded a trio of quarterback hits and also managed four tackles for loss.

Again: a lot of it was against the Falcons backups. But still a nice little Friday evening for the first-round pick.
