Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens have plenty of success against many of the teams in the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs are not one of them. Since taking over as the starting quarterback for the Ravens, Jackson is 0-3 against the Chiefs -- and 30-5 against everyone else.

Jackson will face Patrick Mahomes once again in a showdown between former MVPs, only the second time two MVP quarterbacks under 27 years old have faced off (Jackson and Mahomes was the first matchup last year). Both Jackson and Mahomes have had plenty of success this early in their careers, but Mahomes has clearly gotten the better of Jackson over the last three years.

The 0-3 record against Mahomes isn't something Jackson is focused on heading into the "Sunday Night Football" showdown.

"No. It's not about me and [Patrick] Mahomes – not to me, probably to everyone else," Jackson said earlier this week. "But it's the Ravens vs. the Kansas City Chiefs. They did beat us three times or whatever, but that's in the past. We have a better opportunity this time to come around, and we'll take the advantage and win at our home stadium.

"But I'm not dwelling on those losses; come Sunday night, we're going to play."

Jackson has four combined touchdowns and no interceptions in three games against the Chiefs, but the Ravens have only averaged 24 points per game in those contests. Mahomes has combined for 10 touchdowns to just one interception in his three starts against Baltimore, as Kansas City has averaged 31.3 points per game. Jackson has completed just 52.6% of his passes and has a 78.9 passer rating. Mahomes has completed 70.5% of his passes for an 116.2 passer rating against the Ravens.

After last season's defeat to Kansas City -- where Jackson was held to just 97 passing yards -- the Ravens quarterback called the Chiefs "our kryptonite." Jackson doesn't regret that comment, knowing full well the Ravens' record against Kansas City holds up.

"I said that because they did beat us three times, so it's like, 'Man, we've got to find a way to win,' Jackson said. "And hopefully this Sunday night coming up it will be different."
