The first week of free agency can be a confusing one in the NFL and no day was more confusing than Thursday. Just ask the Dolphins. Or the Browns. Or the Saints. Or anyone related to Jordan Cameron.

The confusion started at 5:55 p.m. ET on Thursday when several NFL reporters tweeted out that Cameron was going to re-sign with the Browns.

Then, for the next two hours, everyone forgot about Cameron because they assumed he was returning to Cleveland for two years and $15 million.

NOT SO FAST THOUGH because at 7:47 p.m. ET, Yahoo's Charles Robinson had some news he felt like sharing with everyone.

Then for the next hour or so, everyone was confused. Did Cameron sign with the Dolphins or the Browns?

Finally, at 9:13 p.m. ET, the Dolphins sent out a tweet that should've cleared everything up, but instead, the tweet only confused the situation more.

Instead of announcing that they've signed former Browns tight end Jordan Cameron, the Dolphins announced that they had signed Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan -- and since the the Saints have been willing to trade anything that's not nailed down at their practice facility, it wasn't completely impossible that Cameron Jordan had somehow ended up in Miami.

Needless to say, Dolphins fans were confused.

At 9:16 p.m. ET, the Dolphins finally cleared everything up.

So Miami did end up signing Jordan Cameron -- not Cameron Jordan -- and you can read more about the signing by clicking here

Anyway, the craziest part about this is that there's actually an episode of "The League"  that revolves around someone accidentally drafting Cameron Jordan over Jordan Cameron in their fantasy draft. You can watch the entire episode, which also includes an appearance from J.J. Watt, by paying Amazon $1.99 here

(Wink of the CBS Eye to Eagles Central on Twitter for catching the Cameron Jordan tweet)
