EAGLES SURVIVE

No matter how much the Eagles tried to give the game to the Cowboys -- they had three penalties for 56 yards on the final drive -- Dak Prescott couldn't deliver. A first-down sack with just under 30 seconds left put Dallas behind the sticks, and Prescott could not overcome it. On fourth-down, Prescott hit CeeDee Lamb (11 catches, 191 yards) at the 5-yard line, but he was swarmed by Eagles defenders before he could make any sort of move or lateral the ball to his teammate. Philadelphia (8-1) now has a commanding lead in the NFC East over Dallas (5-3).

Cowboys draw closer

Not so fast, Eagles fans. The Cowboys are within five points after Jalen Tolbert's touchdown catch. Unfortunately for Dallas, Dak Prescott stepped out of bounds just before crossing the goal line on the two-point conversion.

4th-down stop!

The Cowboys were threatening to pull back within a score, but on fourth-and-goal, they came up JUST SHORT. In fact, Luke Schoonmaker's body was in the end zone, but the football did not cross the goal line before his knee went down. Eagles take over up 11.

What can Brown do for you? (Hint: everything)

It doesn't look like A.J. Brown will extend his streak of 130-plus receiving yards to seven games, but he's still made a significant impact in the Eagles' biggest game of the season so far. He's got seven catches for 66 yards and this four-yard touchdown that put Philadelphia up double digits on Dallas.

Giants on the board

The Giants will not be shut out on this day, as Tommy Devito led an 11-play, 84-yard drive that ended with a wide-open Wan'dale Robinson catching a nine-yard touchdown pass.

Kenny Moore owns Bryce Young

There's no other way to say it. Bryce Young has thrown two pick-sixes in his NFL career so far, and Kenny Moore has both of them. What an unbelievable performance from the Colts cornerback, who has almost single-handedly outscored the Panthers on Sunday.

Hurts looks healthy

Jalen Hurts was slow to get up towards the end of the first half, but he seemed just fine on the Eagles' opening drive of the third quarter. First he scrambled for a first down. Then he hit D'Andre Swift for a nice gain. And to top it off, he launched a perfect pass to DeVonta Smith down the left sideline for the 29-yard score.

First third-quarter TD

It took eight games, but the Panthers have finally scored a touchdown in the third quarter. D.J. Chark Jr. did the honors on a five-yard reception from Bryce Young, but Carolina still trails by 10 late in the third quarter.

Cowboys kicker is automatic

Brandon Aubrey has had a wild road to becoming the kicker for the Dallas Cowboys (read all about that, here). But since he's earned the job, he's been flawless. Literally. In 19 field goal attempts this season, he hasn't missed. That's an NFL record for most consecutive makes to start a career. The record-breaking kick was a big one, too, as his 51-yarder gave the Cowboys the lead over the Eagles before halftime.

Tommy DevitNO

I thought we'd seen the last of Tommy Devito. Daniel Jones was back from injury, returning Devito to the sidelines after a miserable game in which he went 2 for 7 for -1 yards passing. But nope. Jones suffered a non-contact leg injury in the first quarter on Sunday, thrusting the undrafted rookie back into action. Good news: he has a positive passing yardage total. Bad news: he's already thrown two interceptions. It's been all Raiders in the first half.

Pick-six from Bryce Young

It's been a poor performance from Bryce Young a week after getting his first NFL win. The No. 1 overall pick is just 7 of 14 for 35 yards, a rating of 26.5, three sacks taken and a pick-six -- in which Kenny Moore jumped in front of the floating pass and returned it 49 yards to the house.

Raiders playing inspired

The post-Josh McDaniels Raiders have looked pretty good in the first half. Under interim head coach Antonio Pierce, Las Vegas has a 14-point lead after Josh Jacobs' short touchdown run. Jakobi Meyers opened the scoring in the first quarter with a 17-yard reception from rookie Aidan O'Connell.

Dak dealing

Dak Prescott came to play today. After an opening drive three-and-out, the Cowboys have scored back-to-back touchdowns. On those possessions, Prescott combined to go 7 of 10 for 113 yards and two touchdowns -- one to Jake Ferguson and the latest to KaVontae Turpin that gave Dallas the lead.

JT spins his way to the end zone

This is the greatness of Jonathan Taylor: catches a screen pass, weaves in between defenders, spins out of a tackle and then has the strength to keep his knee and elbow off the ground until the ball crosses the plane. Touchdown, Colts. They're up 10 on the Panthers.

Eagles, Cowboys trade TDs

Feels like we're in for a thriller between NFC East rivals. The Eagles scored first on Kenneth Gainwell's rushing touchdown, but the Cowboys immediately responded with Dak Prescott's short touchdown pass to Jake Ferguson.

Legend of C.J. Stroud grows

A play after setting the NFL rookie passing record (470 yards), C.J. Stroud delivered the throw of the day: a laser to Tank Dell between two Bucs defenders for the go-ahead score with six seconds to play. FINAL: Texans 39, Buccaneers 37

Stroud's second touchdown to Dell capped an unbelievable outing for the No. 2 overall pick. He not only smashed the rookie passing record, but he racked up five touchdown passes and no interceptions in addition to orchestrating a 6-play, 75-yard scoring drive in the final seconds to win in dramatic fashion.

JOSHUA DOBBS

Josh Dobbs has been with the Vikings for five days, yet he's already emerged as a cult hero in Minnesota. Needing a touchdown in the final minutes, Dobbs led the team 75 yards on 11 plays. The final play of the drive was the game-winning toss to Brandon Powell with just 20 seconds to play. The win is the Vikings' fourth in the past five games, which puts them above .500 and in the thick of the NFC wild-card race.

Game-sealing INT

This wasn't Mac Jones' fault, but it's yet another loss with him at quarterback for the Patriots. Driving to either tie or take the lead, Jones' pass went right through the hands of JuJu Smith-Schuster and into the arms of Jartavius Martin for the game-sealing pick. New England is now 2-7 on the season, which is the worst record in the AFC (which is crazy to even say). It's going to be a long rest of the reason for Bill Belichick's team.

Running game gives Falcons the lead

It's no secret that the Falcons like to run the ball, but they almost solely relied on it on their go-ahead touchdown drive. Following a 14-yard pass on the first play of the possession, Atlanta ran the ball 12 straight times for 64 yards and punched the ball into the end zone with Tyler Allgeier to go up on the Vikings.

1st-career TD

Packers-Rams has been a rough watch, but it's worth highlighting a rookie catching his first-career touchdown. Second-round tight end Luke Musgrave found the end zone in the fourth quarter to put the finishing touches on the Packers' win over the Rams.

RB nails field goal!

You have to be kidding me. Emergency kicker Dare Ogunbowale, in for the injured Ka'imi Fairbairn, has just hit the go-ahead field goal to put the Texans ahead with less than eight minutes to play.

OBJ finds the end zone

It took seven games, but Odell Beckham Jr. finally found the end zone as a member of the Ravens. It came in the fourth quarter of a blowout against the Seahawks. The game was so out of hand, in fact, that Tyler Huntley was the one throwing him the six-yard score.

4th-and-score

Without a kicker, the Texans were forced to go for it on fourth-and-goal from the nine-yard line despite being down just one. It paid off, with C.J. Stroud finding one of his favorite targets, Dalton Schultz, for the go-ahead score.

JOSH. DOBBS.

Move over, Gardner Minshew. Josh Dobbs may be the most fun QB in the NFL. We thought we'd seen the last of Dobbs once the Cardinals traded him, but he's right back out there for the Vikings after the early injury to rookie Jaren Hall. And after a brutal start (safety taken and strip sack), he's helped the Vikings secure their first lead of the game against the Falcons.

The rout is on in Baltimore

Are the Ravens the best team in the AFC? They might be based on what they're doing to the Seahawks on Sunday. It's been complete domination in all three phases, and Baltimore has shown no signs of slowing down. Rookie Keaton Mitchell just ripped off a 40-yard touchdown run to make it 30-3 Ravens.

Stroud, Dell deliver TD

Stop it, C.J. Stroud! The No. 2 overall pick delivered an absolute beauty of a ball to Tank Dell for the 29-yard touchdown, then crossed his arms and shook his head as if to say, 'I belong in this league and I know it.' The frontrunner for Offensive Rookie of the Year has surely looked the part midway through the season.

Perfectly executed screen pass

Screen passes can go severely sideways, but the Falcons executed theirs perfectly midway through the third quarter. Taylor Heinicke quickly got the ball out to Jonnu Smith, who followed a convoy of Atlanta blockers down the right sideline and then hit the jets for the 60-yard score.

Commanders (Howell)ing

Yes, he's made some big mistakes, but second-year QB Sam Howell has been largely productive for the Commanders this season. He's continued to deliver against the Patriots. He's currently 22 of 32 passing for 228 yards and this dime of a touchdown pass to Jahan Dotson in stride to knot the score at 17.

RB handling kicking duties ...

With Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn out with a quad injury, seldom-used running back Dare Ogunbowale is handling kicking duties against the Buccaneers. And his first kickoff was a success! He could have used more hang time, but the returner caught the ball inside the 5-yard line and didn't even make it to the 30.

Unfortunately, Houston didn't trust Ogunbowale enough to attempt the extra point after Noah Brown's 75-yard score, but he did deliver a touchback -- albeit kicking from midfield -- after the touchdown.

Moore turns ball over for Bears

The Bears have moved the ball consistently all game, but turnovers have stalled drives. All the credit goes to cornerback Paulson Adebo, who not only intercepted Tyson Bagent in the first half but was also the one who punched the ball out of D.J. Moore's arms and recovered the fumble for New Orleans.
