GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Our live blog gives the blow by blow, literally, of the Patriots' 28-24 win over the Seahawks.

10:07 PM ET -- After a furious finish -- including the Seahawks' Bruce Irvin getting ejected for throwing a punch at Rob Gronkowski, the Patriots run out the clock and win their fourth Super Bowl. 

FINAL: Patriots 28 Seahawks 24

9:59 PM ET -- Malcolm Butler, everybody. MALCOLM BUTLER. He intercepts Russell Wilson at the one-yard line. Twenty seconds left.

9:56 PM ET -- Seahawks WR Jermaine Kearse pulls a David Tyree, but this time he makes a 33-yard grab while he's laying on his back. Seattle has first and 10 from the 5-yard line with 1:06 to go.

9:55 PM ET -- Wilson throws a bomb down the sideline for Matthews -- again in the end zone -- but this time Brandon Browner was able to break it up.

9:51 PM ET -- Just before the 2-minute warning. Russell Wilson finds Marshawn Lynch on a slant and go for a 31-yard gain. Seattle will have 1:55 to go 49 yards.

9:47 PM ET -- After trailing by 10 in the fourth quarter, the Patriots now lead 28-14 with 2:02 to go. Brady finds Julian Edelman for a three-yard pitch and catch. Tharold Simon was victimized (again) on the play.

Brady's now 37 of 50 for 328 yards with 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. 

9:44 PM ET -- Brady's 36 completions is a Super Bowl record, breaking the previous record of 34 by Peyton Manning last year. He's currently 36 of 49 for 325 yards with 2:52 to go.

9:35 PM ET -- Another three and out for the Seahawks and the Patriots will begin their drive from their own 36-yard line. The Pats trail 24-21 with 6:52 left in the fourth quarter.

9:27 PM ET -- The Patriots aren't dead yet. Brady finds Danny Amendola in the back of the end zone on a four-yard touchdown pass. Edelman was big on the drive, hauling in several first-down grabs to set up the score. 

That's Brady's 12th Super Bowl touchdown pass, making him the all-time leader.

Seahawks 24 Patriots 21; 68 yards, 9 plays, 7:55 to go

9:22 PM ET -- Julian Edelman hauls in a huge 21-yard reception on third and long -- and he's CRUSHED by Kam Chancellor in the process. A play later, Brady finds Shane Vereen for 10 yards and he's hit late out of bounds, giving the Patriots 15 yards from the end of the run.

9:17 PM ET -- Patriots linebacker Rob Ninkovich sacks Wilson on a huge third-down play, giving the ball back to New England with 12:10 to go in the game. The Pats trail 24-14.

9:09 PM ET -- The Seahawks just punted but they're up 24-14 heading into the fourth quarter. And to be perfectly frank it doesn't feel that close. Seattle's trending the right way and simply outplaying the Patriots. New England needs to make some kind of move here. 

9:00 PM ET -- Richard Sherman firing shots at Darrelle Revis from the sideline, mouthing "twenty-four" and holding up fingers to note his reference to Revis.

8:58 PM ET -- Touchdown Seahawks! A wide open Doug Baldwin caught a pass from Russell Wilson and promptly mooned the crowd, which cost the Seahawks a 15-yard penalty. 

8:48 PM ET -- Brady picked again. Bad throw (again) but a great job by Bobby Wagner to make a play. Tony Dungy's getting the last laugh on us after voting for him as MVP. 

8:37 PM ET -- CHRIS MATTHEWS! Another incredible catch for the guy who stormed out of nowhere for a breakout Super Bowl set up the Seahawks for a field goal that gives them a 17-14 lead with 11:09 left in the third quarter.

8:35 PM ET -- Katy Perry was entertaining no matter what you think about her musical abilities.

7:57 PM ET -- CHRIS MATTHEWS CAN NOT BE STOPPED. Wilson hits Matthews for an 11-yard touchdown with two ticks left in the half. Tie game. Again. The drive started on the Seahawks' 20. Five plays and 29 seconds later, we're all even.

Patriots 14 Seahawks 14, 5 plays, 80 yards

7:48 PM ET -- Brady has tied Montana with 11 Super Bowl touchdown passes (Brady also has 51 postseason TD passes).

7:47 PM ET -- Gronkowski hauls in a 22-yard touchdown with 31 seconds left in the half to give the Patriots the lead. Linebacker K.J. Wright was in coverage ... and he never had a chance. Ever.

Patriots 14 Seahawks 7; 8 plays, 85 yards

7:32 PM ET -- Marshawn does what Marshawn does and bullies his way into the end zone on a three-yard run. Tie game.

7:31 PM ET -- Want to talk about clutch? That was Matthews' first catch of the season.

7:28 PM ET -- Wilson finally completes a pass with 5:25 to go in the first half. Two plays later, a HUGE completion Chris Matthews for a 44-yard gain down to the Pats 11-yard line.

7:19 PM ET -- The game is nearly 20 minutes old and the Seahawks still haven't completed a pass. They have 22 total yards. 

7:15 PM ET -- That touchdown pass was Brady's 50th in the postseason (and 10th in the Super Bowl), second only to his boyhood idol, Joe Montana.

7:10 PM ET -- Brady finds Julian Edelman for a big down third-down conversion giving the Pats the ball at the Seahawks' 12-yard line. Two plays later, Brady to Brandon LaFellfor the touchdown! Nine plays, 65 yards, and 4:10 minutes on the drive.

Tharold Simon, who replaced Jeremy Lane, was beat on the score, and he was also beat on the Edelman reception.

7:03 PM ET -- First quarter stats: LeGarrette Blount outrushed Marshawn Lynch 27 yards to 12 yards (on eight carries to four), and Brady completed 9 passes for 48 yards (and that pick) while Russell Wilson has yet to complete a pass.

7:02 PM ET -- The Patriots defense goes to all man-to-man coverage on third down on the first drive of the second quarter, rushing four. Russell Wilson can't find anyone open, even with all the time in the world. The defense saves Brady.

6:58 PM ET -- Furiously fast first quarter. Brutal interception for Tom Brady but we're scoreless after the first. 

6:53 PM ET -- PICK! Terrible throw by Tom Brady, who was intercepted in the end zone. There was a ton of pressure on him and he threw it right to Jeremy Lane.

Michael Bennett is doing some damage at the line of scrimmage. He and Cliff Avril crushed Brady on the interception. 

6:45 PM ET -- Not the same start for the Seahawks as they had last year, with Seattle going three and out on its first series, with all three plays being runs to Marshawn, who gained eight yards on three carries. 

6:41 PM ET -- Beast Mode Snackin'

Marshawn was hungry and snacked on some Skittles Sunday afternoon.

6:36 PM ET -- Early Missed Call

The running into the kicker penalty on the Seahawks (which was declined by New England) was an early mistake by the refs -- it should've been roughing the kicker after Jeron Johnson ran into Patriots punter Ryan Allen and hit his plant leg. 

The refs have been a storyline all playoffs and that continued on Sunday early on.

6:35 PM ET -- Gronk v. Sherman

On the very first play, Rob Gronkowski lined up all the way on the sideline in a 1-on-1 matchup against Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman. Would love to see that matchup a few more times.

6:33 PM ET -- The fans really love Tom Brady.

Marshawn changed his cleats -- they've got the gold plate on the bottom but are his normal ones.

Lynch is pushing the envelope again, wearing gold cleats during warmups. If he wears them during the game the NFL will not be pleased.

12:39 PM ET - Pats no longer favored. With only hours to go until the kick off of Super Bowl XLIX, the final bets are being placed in Las Vegas and those bets are being placed -- surprise, surprise -- on theSeattle Seahawks.

For the past seven days, the Seahawks have been a one-point underdog in Vegas, but as betting moved into Sunday, the line at most sportsbooks has gone down to a pick'em. That means the Patriots are no longer favored and you just have to pick the winning team to win money.
