Now that Brandon Lloyd appears uninterested in resuming his NFL career, he can devote more time to the arts. Specifically, acting.

The former NFL wide receiver stars alongside Daniel Baldwin (the chubby one) in an upcoming zombie movie called "After Effect." Lloyd plays Sargeant Chuck Lloyd. According to MassLive.com's Nick Underhill, the direct-to-DVD release is scheduled for Oct. 8.

Via IMDB, "After Effect" is about a group of college students who sign up for a research study only to find out that they've unknowingly volunteered for a military experiment. Hijinks, no doubt, ensues.

It's a good start for Lloyd, but it's way too early to tell how "After Effect" will stack up against "Stone Cold," the cinematic masterpiece brought to us by former NFL linebacker Brian Bosworth.
