He might not have been penalized for the hit in the game but Brandon Prust isn't likely to get away with his hit on Derek Stepan early in Game 3.

Prust's hit on his former teammate early in Thursday night's game elevated tensions quickly. Prust hit Stepan in the open ice well after he had released the puck and a bit high, sending Stepan to the ice for a minute. When he got up to head to the dressing room, he was incredulous.

Rangers coach Alain Vigneault was rather subdued on it after the game but said the officials missed it. The NHL didn't. Prust has a hearing with the NHL on Thursday.

The Rangers are looking at a suspension for one of their players too as Daniel Carcillo has a lengthy ban coming his way for his contact with an official. Vigneault said he doesn't believe that happens if the referees originally called the penalty on Prust.

After Game 3 we have a series now, in more ways than one.
