Earlier this season, Budweiser introduced an awesome concept for fans in Canada: a goal light in your own home that syncs up with your favorite team's games. When they score, the red light goes off.

Sadly, this wasn't made available to fans in the United States. It sounds like such a cool idea, puck heads south the border wanted in on the action, too. After all, who doesn't want their living room to become a dance club with flashing lights and loud noises every time a goal is scored?

Turns out, you don't need Budweiser to make it happen as one Blackhawks fan has demonstrated. In fact, he made it even better -- or worse if you're Roberto Luongo -- by playing the Fratellis' Blackhawks anthem, Chelsea Dagger.

The ingenuity comes from Reddit user oSpaZMaNo, who explains the construction like this:

A remote controls a RF receiver, RF receiver activates a relay for the sound card to begin playing, and the lights to get power from a 12vDC power supply. The RF receiver has a built in adjustable timer, from 1-99 seconds, minutes or hours.

I'm not entirely sure how that all works, but I see it does, so it must make sense.

Who needs Budweiser when you have smart guys on Reddit?
