We’ve all seen them on TV and maybe a few of us have been among those that bang on the glass as the play on the ice comes near. For one (seemingly) young and enthusiastic fan in Montreal, however, the glass-banging days may be over.

When the Canadiens took on the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Bell Centre Thursday, the play came down the near half wall. Travis Moen took a routine hit along the boards, but the one who ended up on the bad end of things was the fan on the other side of the glass.

Watch the replays as the youngster, who probably was just really excited the play was that close, got knocked back right into the seat. It’s too bad it didn’t happen to one of those bejerseyed goon fans that do the obnoxious glass banging for every little thing.

Someone needed to be made an example out of, I guess.
