History was made on Monday, when Brighton & Hove Albion earned promotion to the Premier League for the first time ever. The Seagulls haven't played in the top flight of English soccer since 1982-1983 and will be the 48th team to play in the Premier League.
It all came after a 2-1 win over Wigan that saw the team move seven points clear at the top of the Championship and 13 points clear of a playoff spot, meaning they are moving up.
Congratulations @OfficialBHAFC!
