A game scheduled for Saturday between Nevada and North Texas will not be played as planned due to COVID-19 issues within Nevada's program, a source told CBS Sports on Thursday.

An official announcement is expected soon.

Nevada coach Steve Alford tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week and began a 10-day isolation period.

This is the second time this week that a game has been postponed or canceled because of COVID-19 issues in a men's basketball program. CBS Sports confirmed Wednesday night that Washington's game vs. No. 11 Arizona on Thursday would be postponed because of COVID-19 issues inside Washington's program. It's worth noting that Washington and Nevada played each other the day before Thanksgiving.

A source told CBS Sports that North Texas is trying to find another opponent to play this weekend so that the Mean Green don't end up going 13 days between games. Nothing is finalized yet, though.
