What to Know

After each having a week off, the Tulsa Golden Hurricane and the Rice Owls will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 11:00 p.m. ET on October 19th at Skelly Field at H.A. Chapman Stadium. Tulsa is expected to win (but not by much) so they better bring their A-game into this one.

Two weeks ago, it was a hard-fought match, but Tulsa had to settle for a 20-17 loss against FAU.

Braylon Braxton put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 67 yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Rice might have drawn first blood against UConn two weeks ago, but it was UConn who got the last laugh. Rice took a 38-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of UConn. Despite 155 more yards than UConn, Rice couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

The losing side was boosted by Luke McCaffrey, who picked up 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Juma Otoviano, who rushed for 51 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.

The losses dropped both teams to an identical 3-3.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday' match: The Golden Hurricane have been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 194.2 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for the Owls, though, as they've been averaging only 81.6 per game. How will Rice fare against such a dominant running game?
