Purdue fans haven't had a whole lot to cheer about on the field during the Darrell Hazell era (and its 1-15 Big Ten record), but at least they've had some sharp alternate uniform looks, most notably this train-track-influenced black helmet.

The Boilers' Twitter feed announced Saturday they've got another one coming, just in time for Purdue's April 18 spring game. Have a look:

By this point, an "anthracite" alternate has lost some of its novelty factor, and that goes double for a team that already uses black as one if its team colors. But hey, any excuse to use the train-track helmet again is a good one -- especially until the Boilers can provide some excitement in the win column as well as the uniform department.
