Smart has been waived by the Cardinals, Bob McManaman of The Arizona Republic reports.
Smart signed with Arizona as an undrafted free agent in mid-May. While he was unable to make enough of an impression to stay with the team during training camp, he will now be able to look for a new opportunity.
