Alexei Bell: Applies for MLB free agency

Bell has applied for MLB free agency and intends to participate in a showcase for scouts in early February, Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com reports.

Once a top prospect in Cuba, Bell has reemerged as a potential pickup for an MLB team. Although not guaranteed to make a major league roster, his name will be a good one to keep an eye on entering the 2016 season.
