The Mets assigned outfielder Cesar Puello and pitchers Jack Leathersich and John Church to minor-league camp after Monday's Grapefruit League game, ESPN reports.
Puello, who went 0 for 1 Monday, ends his Grapefruit League play 4 for 11 with two doubles, two RBI and two walks in 10 games played. Leathersich, who gave up a massive home run to Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton Monday, allowed six earned runs in 1 2/3 innings over two appearances. Church made three appearances, including throwing a scoreless inning Monday, allowing three earned runs in three innings this spring.
