Orioles' Isaac Mattson: Joins player pool

Mattson was added to the Orioles' 60-man player pool Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Mattson will give the Orioles' additional pitching depth, but he's not on the team's 40-man roster, so he shouldn't be expected to fill a large role. He's only thrown 9.1 innings at the Triple-A level, though he did strike out 19 batters over that brief stretch, hinting at his potential.
