The Padres reassigned Liberato to minor-league camp Friday.
Liberato cracked the majors for the first time in his career last season, but was held hitless in five at-bats. He will almost certainly return to Triple-A El Paso for the start of 2023, where he slashed .261/.354/.541 over 390 plate appearances last year.
