Ponce (forearm) was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.
Ponce was expected to miss the start of the regular season due to a forearm issue, and he'll officially begin the year on the injured list. Once the right-hander is healthy, it's not yet clear whether he'll join the major-league club or report to the alternate site.
