Red Sox buy INF Carlos Rivero from Mariners, put him in minors

The Red Sox have purchaed infielder Carlos Rivero from the Mariners, the Tacoma News-Tribune has reported. He will be assigmed to Triple-A Pawtucket.

The 27-year-old Rivero, who has four hits in seven at-bats in the majors, owns a mediocre .256/.296/.372 slash line at Triple-A Tacoma this season.
