Griffin gave up one run on five hits and three walks while striking out three over six innings in his debut start for Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Tuesday.

Griffin has a high-80s fastball and the rest of the repertoire is mediocre, so it's a little surprising that he has had so much success this season. The 21-year-old southpaw posted a 2.86 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 26.1 percent strikeout rate in 56.2 innings at High-A before getting the promotion, so his stock is certainly trending up, even if his ceiling is likely capped as a back-end starter.
