Tigers' Spencer Torkelson: Officially added to 60-man pool

Torkelson will be a part of the Tigers' 60-man player pool this season.

Detroit signed Torkelson on Tuesday for $8,416,300, a new MLB Draft bonus record, then officially added the prized prospect to its 60-man pool as expected. Torkelson may not see MLB game action in his rookie season, but he can now join the team for workouts and showcase the talent that made him the No. 1 overall pick earlier this month.
