The Yankees sent Andrews outright to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday. Andrews went unclaimed off waivers after being DFA'd by the Yankees on Monday, so he will officially remain within the organization. The 27-year-old southpaw has gotten off to a rough start in the minors, allowing six earned runs across 3.2 innings while striking out two batters and walking six.... See More ... See Less

Yankees' Clayton Andrews: Designated for assignment
Andrews was designated for assignment by the Yankees on Monday. Andrews was acquired via trade in February but failed to make the Opening Day roster and had allowed six runs in his first 3.2 innings at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Josh Maciejewski is taking his spot on the 40-man roster.... See More ... See Less -
Yankees' Clayton Andrews: Optioned to Triple-A
The Yankees optioned Andrews to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday. Acquired via trade last month, Andrews struggled this spring and posted a 9.53 ERA over five appearances. He'll provide left-handed relief depth in the minors.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Clayton Andrews: Designated for assignment
The Brewers designated Andrews for assignment Wednesday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. The signing of Jakob Junis became official Wednesday, causing Andrews to lose his spot on the 40-man roster. Andrews struggled during his brief time in the majors, allowing 10 earned runs in just 3.1 innings across four appearances. He put together a 2.53 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in Triple-A, however, making it possible another team gives him a chance off the waiver wire.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Clayton Andrews: Up from Nashville
The Brewers recalled Andrews from Triple-A Nashville on Friday. Andrews had a largely successful season with Nashville, recording a 2.53 ERA and 1.23 WHIP through 57 innings. He has not had the same success at the major-league level, giving up eight earned runs over just 1.2 innings in three appearances. Nonetheless, Andrews will replace Ethan Small on the roster and could see action during Milwaukee's series against the Cubs if the Brewers opt to keep their primary bullpen pieces fresh for the playoffs.... Brewers' Clayton Andrews: Sent back down
Andrews was optioned to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday. Andrews was called up to the big club Saturday and will return to the minors without appearing in a game. He made his MLB debut earlier this year and has given up five earned runs across 1.2 innings.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Clayton Andrews: Contract selected by Brewers
Andrews' contract was selected by the Brewers on Saturday. The 26-year-old lefty will make his big-league debut whenever manager Craig Counsell calls on him for the first time. In 32.2 innings for Triple-A Nashville this season, he owns a 1.65 ERA, with his 31.8 percent strikeout rate offsetting a 12.4 percent walk rate.... See More ... See Less

Erik Boland@eboland111D agoNever say never (obviously) but Scott Boras not taking a generational player into FA, just after he turns 26 btw, is unlikely at best. Throw in the strong likelihood of a Mets/Yankees bidding war that could take the contract to uncharted territory? Wouldn’t assume too much here..

River Ave. Blues@RiverAveBlues1D agoRyan Jeffers hit a leadoff home run is the series opener Tuesday night and the Twins didn't score again in the series. The Yankees are allowing only 3.31 runs per game, fewest in baseball and 0.16 runs better than the second place Dodgers. All this without Gerrit Cole.
