Stanton is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Rays, Erik Boland of Newsday reports. Stanton went 2-for-4 in the series opener Friday. Trent Grisham will start in center field while Aaron Judge shifts to DH against Rays right-hander Zack Littell.... See More ... See Less

Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Goes deep Wednesday
Stanton went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 9-4 win against Houston. Stanton hit one of three homers for New York in the victory, taking Spencer Arrighetti deep for a 447-foot solo blast in the third inning. It was the second straight game with a long ball for the slugger, and he extended his modest hitting streak to five games. Stanton has struck out 10 times in 20 at-bats over that stretch, so he's far from locked in at the plate, but three of his five hits during the streak have gone for extra bases.... See More ... Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Getting breather Thursday
Stanton is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game in Baltimore, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports. Stanton is getting Thursday off after he went 1-for-10 with a 3:2 K:BB in the first three games of the series. Aaron Judge will get a day out of the outfield and will replace Stanton as the Yankees' designated hitter.... See More ... See Less -
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Clubs sixth homer
Stanton went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run during Saturday's 15-3 win at Milwaukee. The veteran slugger entered Saturday without a homer in eight straight games, but he went deep in the ninth inning against position player Owen Miller. Stanton also had an infield single in the opening frame but struck out in his other three plate appearances, which is his second game this season with three strikeouts. Even including Saturday's homer, Stanton has a .214/.290/.393 slash line over his past nine games.... See More ... See Less -
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Resting Saturday
Stanton isn't in the Yankees' lineup for Saturday's game against Tampa Bay. Stanton turned in an 0-for-4 performance at the plate during Friday's victory over the Rays, and he'll get a breather during Saturday's contest. Aaron Judge will take over as New York's designated hitter, allowing Trent Grisham to start in center field and bat sixth.... See More ... See Less -
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Idle to begin twin bill
Stanton isn't in the Yankees' lineup for the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Guardians. Stanton will get a breather after recording a hit in each of the Yankees' last five games, going 8-for-19 with three homers and seven RBI in that span. He'll likely return to the lineup for Game 2, but in the meantime Aaron Judge will fill in as New York's DH, allowing Trent Grisham to start in center field.... See More ... See Less -
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Hits another home run
Stanton went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Marlins. Stanton generated an extra-base hit for the fifth consecutive game, with Wednesday's coming via a solo homer off Bryan Hoeing in the sixth frame. Through 11 games, Stanton boasts a .605 slugging percentage.... See More ... See Less -
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Mashes grand slam
Stanton went 1-for-4 with a grand slam during Sunday's 8-3 win over the Blue Jays. Stanton launched his second homer in as many days, following up Saturday's solo home run with a monstrous grand slam. He now trails Manny Machado for the most grand slams by an active player by one with 11. After submitting batting averages of .211 and .191 the past two seasons, Stanton's fantasy value will likely be tied to his home run total once again this season after going 7-for-32 (.219) at the plate through eight games.... Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Homers, tallies three hits
Stanton went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in New York's win over the Blue Jays on Saturday. Stanton followed up Aaron Judge's two-run homer with a solo shot of his own just two batters later in the bottom of the first, giving the Yankees an early 3-0 lead. He also added two singles in the contest, giving the slugger his first multi-hit performance of the season. Stanton had gone hitless through New York's first three games to open this month and is still hitting just .214 on the season after Saturday's three-hit effort.... See More ... See Less -
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Getting breather Wednesday
Stanton is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game in Arizona. Stanton has been slow out of the gate this season, going 3-for-20 with a 1:11 BB:K, although one of those hits was a home run. The Yankees will give Aaron Judge a start at designated hitter Wednesday, with Trent Grisham getting the call in center field.... See More ... See Less -
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Will sit Saturday
Stanton is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Astros. Stanton has started at DH for the first two games of the season, going 2-for-10 with a solo home run and four strikeouts. The Yankees will move Aaron Judge to designated hitter and start Trent Grisham in center field for Saturday's contest.... See More ... See Less -
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Belts first homer of season
Stanton went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Friday in a 7-1 win against Houston. Stanton put the game further on ice for New York with his 419-foot solo blast in the ninth inning. The slugger also fanned twice in the game and has four strikeouts through 10 plate appearances on the campaign, but fantasy managers who roster him are likely doing so almost exclusively for his power. Stanton has averaged 30 long balls over the past three campaigns despite batting only .230 and missing considerable time with injuries during that span.... See More ... See Less -
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Mashes three homers
Stanton went 3-for-3 with three home runs and eight RBI in Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Pirates. After slimming down over the winter, Stanton got off to a rather slow start to spring training, but he flipped the narrative with one huge offensive performance. He hit a grand slam among his three homers, and with three swings of the bat, he improved his Grapefruit League line from .250/.314/.406 to .314/.359/.714. It's nice to see his trademark power is still there, but durability remains a major concern given Stanton has fallen short of 400 plate appearances each of the past two seasons.... See More ... Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Slimmed down during offseason
Stanton entered spring training noticeably slimmer after adding more movement and running to his offseason workouts, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports. Stanton indicated that he isn't certain how much weight he lost, but pictures from camp show that he is slimmer than in past campaigns. Manager Aaron Boone suggested that both the player and the team feel the lost weight can help Stanton "with some of the things that he's dealt with from an injury standpoint," per Chris Kirschner of The Athletic. Stanton has missed 113 games combined over the past two campaigns, so it would be a significant boon to his fantasy value if he could avoid the injured list this season.... See More ... See Less -
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Resting again for finale
Stanton is not in Sunday's lineup against the Royals. He will likely end up not getting an at-bat during the final series of the season, as New York is giving most of the at-bats to the less proven position players on the roster. Stanton did not have a multi-hit game in September and hit .136 with four home runs, seven runs and nine RBI in 68 at-bats during the month.... See More ... See Less -
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Sits again Saturday
Stanton remains on the bench for Saturday's game against the Royals, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports. With the Yankees eliminated from the playoffs, the team is prioritizing giving at-bats to younger players, sitting the 33-year-old Stanton twice in a row. Even if the Yankees did have something to play for, they might not want to give everyday at-bats to a player who's hit .191/.275/.420 in 101 games this season. His 89 wRC+ sets a career low by a wide margin over his 116 wRC+ from last season and doesn't bode well for him heading into his age-34 campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Takes seat Friday
Stanton is absent from the lineup Friday at Kansas City. Aaron Judge will fill the DH role as Everson Pereira, Estevan Florial and Oswaldo Cabrera start across the outfield. Stanton is sitting on a four-game hitting streak, but he has posted an overall .191 batting average and .275 on-base percentage through 415 plate appearances this season with New York.... See More ... See Less -
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Out of lineup again
Stanton is out of the lineup for Monday's contest against the Diamondbacks. Stanton will take seat for the second straight game and the third time in four contests while he battles through a slump at the dish. With Stanton out of the lineup, Aaron Judge will serve as the Yankees' designated hitter.... See More ... See Less -
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Held out Sunday
Stanton isn't in the Yankees' lineup Sunday against the Diamondbacks. Stanton has been in a prolonged slump at the plate since the start of September, though he was able to record a hit in Friday's series opener. Aaron Judge will operate as New York's designated hitter Sunday, with Oswaldo Cabrera starting in right field.... See More ... See Less -
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Belts 24th homer
Stanton went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's victory over Pittsburgh. Stanton entered Saturday's tilt hitless in six of his last seven appearances, a span in which he was 1-for-23 (.043) and struck out 33.3 percent of the time. While Stanton's impressive power and high strikeout rate make him a very boom-or-bust fantasy option, he currently owns career worsts in batting average, on-base percentage and slugging over 94 games....
