Williams was waived by the Hornets on Friday.
Williams dealt with a hip injury throughout training camp and the preseason, and he'll now look to latch on with another team. He appeared in only 13 NBA games last season, signing separate 10-day deals with both the Jazz and Pelicans. The journeyman will likely find himself in a similar scenario this season.
